Required Items

  • DP 1.4 cables

  • 12V/2A power supply (included)

  • Monitor with DP input

  • Compatible GPU on both PCs

2. Pre-Setup Checklist (Critical)

Before powering anything on:

✔ Use DP 1.4 cables only

✔ Color Format = YCbCr422

✔ Color Depth = 8 bpc

✔ Both PCs output a valid signal

✔ Both PCs use matching refresh rates

✔ Secondary PC is in Extend Mode

✔ Secondary PC wallpaper set to solid black

If any of these are wrong → fusion will fail, flicker, or be invisible.

3. Connection Guide

Steps

  1. Connect Main PC → DP Input 2

  2. Connect Secondary PC → DP Input 1

  3. Connect Fusion Box DP Output → Monitor

  4. Plug in power (12V)

  5. Turn ON device

  6. Verify lights:

    • Power = ON

    • DP1 = Secondary PC detected

    • DP2 = Main PC detected

If DP1 or DP2 does not light → see Troubleshooting.

4. Required GPU Settings

AMD GPU

Settings → Display

Set:

  • Color Format: YCbCr 4:2:2

  • Color Depth: 8 bpc

  • Match refresh rate to Main PC

AMD users must set 8bpc or fusion will flicker.

NVIDIA GPU

NVIDIA Control Panel → Change Resolution

Set:

  • Output Color Format: YCbCr422

  • Output Color Depth: 8 bpc

  • Dynamic range: Limited or Full (either is fine)

5. Fusion Mode Setup

  1. On Secondary PC, set wallpaper to pure black.

  2. Press [Fuse] on the device.

  3. Press Fuse repeatedly to cycle transparency levels.

  4. Stop when the overlay blends smoothly into the Main PC game.

If overlay looks faint →

Keep pressing Fuse to increase transparency.

6. Laptop & Secondary PC Requirements

Laptops can be used as Secondary PC.

Requirements:

  • Must output DP (via USB-C→DP or native DP)

  • Must use Extend Mode

  • Resolution must match Main PC display

  • Output going into the Fusion Box must be set as Main Display inside Windows

7. Supported Resolutions & Refresh Rates

Resolution
Supported Refresh Rates

3840×2160

60Hz / 120Hz / 144Hz

2560×1440

144Hz / 240Hz / 260Hz

1920×1080

240Hz / 360Hz / 480Hz

Not Supported:

  • Custom resolutions

  • 3440×1440 ultrawide

  • Manual EDID overrides

Fusion box auto-reads EDID only.

8. Troubleshooting

DP1 or DP2 light OFF

  • Wrong cable order

  • Bad DP cable → replace with DP 1.4

  • GPU not outputting (test directly to monitor)

  • Unsupported custom resolution

Fusion mode not visible

  • Secondary wallpaper not black

  • Secondary PC in Duplicate mode

  • Wrong color format (must be YCbCr422)

  • 10-bit / 12-bit enabled → change to 8bpc

  • Output set to wrong display

Flickering, flashing, unstable

  • Refresh rates don’t match

  • AMD color depth not 8bpc

  • DP cable too long / poor quality

  • Monitor not sending stable EDID

DP1 ON, DP2 OFF → Black screen

Fusion box requires Main PC (DP2) signal to output anything.

DP2 = base layer DP1 = overlay

If DP2 is off → the device outputs nothing.
